Job Description
The System Administrator is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, security, and reliable operation of the organization’s IT infrastructure. This role ensures servers, networks, and systems run efficiently, securely, and with minimal downtime, while supporting users and aligning IT operations with business needs.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role
Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server environments
Experience with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls)
Familiarity with virtualization and/or cloud platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, AWS, Azure, etc.)
Experience with system monitoring, backups, and disaster recovery
Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or similar)
Understanding of security best practices and patch management
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and core services
Monitor system performance, availability, and security
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
Perform regular system updates, patching, and backups
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
Implement and maintain security controls and policies
Support virtualization, storage, and backup systems
Document system configurations, procedures, and changes
Coordinate with vendors and internal teams on IT issues
Assist with infrastructure planning, upgrades, and improvements
Monitor system performance, availability, and security
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
