The Safety Officer is responsible for implementing and monitoring HSE policies on MEP construction sites, ensuring full compliance with company standards, client requirements, and local regulations, while promoting a strong safety culture across all project activities.Key Responsibilities
Implement and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and standards on site.
Conduct daily safety inspections for MEP works, including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and electrical systems.
Identify hazards and ensure effective control measures are in place.
Ensure all personnel comply with safe work practices and proper use of PPE.
Conduct safety inductions and daily/weekly toolbox talks.
Monitor high-risk activities, including:
Work at height
Lifting operations
Electrical works
Confined space entry
Ensure proper implementation of Permit to Work (PTW) system.
Prepare and maintain HSE documentation (inspection reports, incident logs, risk assessments, method statements).
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Coordinate with project team, subcontractors, and client representatives on HSE matters.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, including labor law and Civil Defense requirements.
Participate in emergency response planning and drills.
Stop unsafe work when necessary and report to management.
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
Minimum 3–5 years of HSE experience in MEP or construction projects
Strong knowledge of MEP site activities and associated risks
Familiar with Permit to Work (PTW) system
Good command of English (Arabic is a plus)
Mandatory Requirements (Saudization & Certification)
